Attention all nature lovers and community members!

Join us for our second year of our volunteer event to restore the Belliveau Beach dune, which was heavily damaged by Hurricane Fiona.

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, the SBWA will organize a dune restoration event where we will place recycled Christmas trees along the dune to help accumulate windblown sand. Volunteers are invited to meet at the Parlee Beach parking starting at 9:00 a.m.

We will provide the necessary equipment, but we also encourage you to bring personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, a hat, gloves, and closed-toe shoes (no sandals). Don’t forget to bring water.

Please note that the event will take place rain or shine, so come prepared for any weather conditions.
