We took over 50 students from Shediac Cape School to the Scoudouc River to participate in the Adopt-a-River program. This program allows kids to learn about water quality monitoring using macroinvertebrates as bioindicators. They found many interesting specimens, and even some fish! The following week, they learned how to identify their samples. They found several sensitive species that live in good quality habitats.
We would like to thank our funders; the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund and the Foundation for the Conservation of Atlantic Salmon.
